Hedweld is a proud family owned and world renowned regional Australian innovator and manufacturer. Hedweld has been producing world leading products for the mining sector globally for over 40 years, known for our Trilift range of component handling equipment and our Safe-Away range of access systems.

Hedweld are seeking a full time Cost Accountant for a permanent opportunity, based at our Mount Thorley site.

This position is responsible for providing support and expertise in the area of costing and analysis. This is a business partnering role where the successful applicant will work collaboratively alongside cross functional teams.

including but not limited to:

  • Calculate and maintain organisations cost rates
  • Work with production staff to create and maintain bills of materials and production routes
  • Review and Analyse standard costs V actual performance variances.
  • Preparation of monthly variance reports with commentary to assist in the delivery of monthly management reporting
  • Ongoing review of product pricing and margins
  • Ad hoc problem solving

Successful Applicant must have:

  • 3-5 years’ experience within a Manufacturing environment
  • Previous product costing experience
  • An Accounting Degree or equivalent with CPA/CA qualification desirable
  • Demonstrated excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a Team member

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience using Pronto would be highly desirable.
